Full-Time Apprenticeship  

Plumbing Apprenticeship cert III completed at SW TAFE has been created due to an expanding workload. The successful applicant will assist the company’s current shed construction teams throughout the southwest region.

Full-Time Shed Constructor

We are looking for an experienced shed Constructor to join our team (or have a background in construction). You’ll construct safe and durable Sheds both residential and commercial.

To succeed in this role, you should have the ability to use power tools. Understand and decipher plans. Work within a team. Display initiative and problem-solving. Take pride in providing a quality finish. You will also handle materials with care.

The Ideal Candidate will have experience in;

• Previous experience building steel sheds, carports, cladding, or any other steel structures

• Ensuring projects are delivered on time whilst providing a high level of service

• Ability to read and interpret plans by engineering specifics

• Ability to work within a team environment

• Site marking out and bracketry installation (bolt-on)

• Steel frame erection, building, and standing walls.

• Cladding and roofing various sizes with insulation

• Roller-Door, window, and personal access door installation

Responsibilities

• Constructing all types of sheds (residential and commercial) using various materials and tools

• Deliver projects within the timeline

• Build to engineering requirements and plans

• Work within a team

• Use hand tools and other equipment

• Follow safety policies

Requirements

• Experience as a roofer/plumber or experience in construction

• Experience using various hand tools and power tools.

• Physical strength and good balance

• Ability to work at heights.

• Construction Induction (white card)

• EWP (highly desired)

• Drivers Licence

• Remuneration will be based on experience 


Full-Time Apprenticeship

The successful applicant will assist the company’s current shed construction teams throughout the southwest region. 

  • Install metal sheeting, polycarbonate and fibreglass sheets alongside waterproof membranes
  • Install roof mesh, insulation, downpipes and gutters
  • Flashing roof penetrations
  • Installing roof safety systems and walkways
  • Connecting roof discharge to rainwater collection systems
  • Installing rainwater tanks
  • Installing rainwater detention devices
  • Terminate rainwater drainage from street kerb or authorities storm water drainage networks
